On August 31, 2021 – September 3, 2021, BPS of North Sulawesi Province will conduct the Regional Instructor Training (Inda) for Integrated Agricultural Survey 2021 (SITASI 2021). SITASI is the first activity carried out in Indonesia as an implementation of the recommendation of the World Food Agency (FAO) so that countries in the world carry out an Agricultural Integrated Survey (AGRIS) for comparability of global agricultural conditions around the world. SITASI is a survey conducted by the Production Statistics Function of the BPS Province of North Sulawesi. The Covid-19 pandemic has encouraged training activities to be transformed into online training. Although the training activities were carried out online, the trainees remained active and enthusiastic in participating in the learning and discussion of materials. The training was carried out in 2 stages, namely independent learning which was held on August 30, 2021 and learning in interactive classes on August 31, 2021 – September 3, 2021. Participants of the Inda SITASI 2021 Training were attended by 54 participants consisting of; 2 participants as assistants from BPS RI, 6 participants from BPS North Sulawesi Province, and 46 participants from BPS Regency/City. The training participants from the Regency/City BPS consisted of 20 Candidates for Inda, 11 Regency/City Supervisors, and 15 Regency/City Admin participants.
The Inda SITASI 2021 Training Activity was officially opened by the Coordinator of the BPS Production Statistics Function of North Sulawesi Province, Sirly Catharina Worotikan, SE., M.SI and officially closed by the Head of BPS North Sulawesi Province, Asim Saputra, SST., M.Ec. Dev. In his remarks, the Head of BPS for North Sulawesi Province conveyed a message to participants that agriculture is the backbone during the current Covid-19 pandemic, therefore, it is hoped that BPS can echo more comprehensive and quality agricultural statistical data. Comprehensive agricultural statistical data is needed to support sustainable development programs or sustainable development programs. SITASI is a major activity of BPS in the Agricultural Sector which is expected to be able to photograph and present changes in cropping patterns as well as changes in the management of agricultural production. SITATION can be an effort to strengthen agricultural statistical data, so it is hoped that Regional Instructors will have the same enthusiasm in raising and developing BPS agricultural statistics.
The Inda SITASI 2021 training has the aim of providing learning and briefing to participants regarding the methodology, concepts and definitions as well as the technical implementation of the 2021 SITASI activities. By mastering the methodology, concepts and definitions as well as good technical implementation of activities, it is hoped that the trained Inda can transfer knowledge to field officers through the training of field officers in the SITASI 2021 which will be carried out in the Regency/City.
For the Sangihe Islands Regency itself, a candidate for Regional Instructor will participate.
