2019 IRIO Activity Evaluation Meeting

2019 IRIO Activity Evaluation Meeting

July 16, 2019 | BPS Activities

The Supply and Use (SUT) table is a framework that can compare and concentrate data from various sources, and increase the overall coherence of the economic information system. TPP Compilation in addition to producing OI tables, can also produce Gross Domestic Product (GDP) / Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) according to 3 (three) approaches, namely Production, Expenditure and Revenue. GDP data derived from this TPP will become a benchmark in preparing annual and quarterly GDP.
The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is currently implementing the 2008 National Account System (SNA), where one of the recommendations is the preparation of SUTs. BPS has begun to gradually implement the concepts, definitions and methodologies contained in the 2008 SNA into Indonesian SUTs and this year will be implemented in regional SUTs. So for this purpose, in addition to data obtained from internal BPS, as well as from outside BPS, other complementary data is still needed. This supplementary data was obtained through a special survey, the 2019 Input Output Special Survey (SKIO). The results obtained from the implementation of the SKIO can be used by the provincial BPS in the preparation of regional SUTs which are then transformed into regional IO Tables.
An evaluation meeting of the implementation of the IRIO 2019 activity was held at the Novotel Manado Golf Resort & Convention Center on July 16-19, 2019.
