Indonesia's development cannot be separated from Indonesia's position in regional and global dynamics. The new development paradigm is not only seen from the economic aspect so that problems such as unemployment, poverty and inequality can be reduced and minimized. Therefore sectoral development by taking into account geographical (regional) aspects must also be considered. One analytical tool that can pay attention to this aspect is the Inter Regional Input Output (IRIO) table which is a development of a region's Input Output (IO) table model and illustrates the flow of goods and services transactions between economic sectors and between regions. In accordance with the recommendations of the System National Account (SNA) 2008 manual, the IO table for one region was derived from the Supply and Use (SUT) table.
The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is currently implementing the 2008 National Account System (SNA), where one of the recommendations is the preparation of SUTs. BPS has begun to gradually implement the concepts, definitions and methodologies contained in the 2008 SNA into Indonesian SUTs and this year will be implemented in regional SUTs. So for this purpose, in addition to data obtained from internal BPS, as well as from outside BPS, other complementary data is still needed. This supplementary data was obtained through a special survey namely the 2019 Input Output Special Survey (SKIO 2019). The results obtained from the implementation of the Special Input Output (SKIO) Survey can be used by the provincial BPS in the preparation of regional SUTs which are then transformed into regional IO Tables.
Training on the Input Output Special Survey (SK-IRIO) which is a new survey, started this year and is a national priority activity (pronas). This training aims to train enumerators in understanding the concepts, definitions, and field implementation of SK-IRIO activities. The training was held at the Manado Sintesa Peninsula Hotel on March 12-13, 2019. The National Instructor (Inas) in this training was a BPS-RI employee who was the Head of Bank Balance Section, Non-Bank Financial Institutions, and Other Services namely Mrs. Diana Bhakti, SST SE., M.Sc. This activity was attended by 35 people, consisting of 27 participants from the kabupaten / kota BPS, 6 participants from the Provincial BPS and 2 committees.
