Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) who came to North Sulawesi through the Sam Ratulangi airport entrance in May 2023 was 3,798 people, a decrease of 8.61 percent compared to April 2023 (M-to-M). Compared to May 2022, it increased by 350.53 percent (Y-on-Y).

Foreign tourists were dominated by Chinese citizens as many as 2,687 people (70.75 percent), South Koreans 189 people (4.98 percent), Germans 160 people (4.21 percent) and Singaporeans 121 people (3.19 percent).

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in North Sulawesi in May 2023 reached 41.48 percent, an increase of 5.95 points compared to the TPK in April 2023 which was 35.53 percent.
