Abstract

The North Sulawesi Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in October 2022 fell 1.80 percent to 105.88 compared to September which was still 107.82. The decline in NTP was due to the faster price index received by farmers (It) compared to the price index paid by farmers (Ib). It fell to 1.89 percent, while Ib fell only 0.09 percent.

NTP both YTD (calendar year) and YoY (year on year) shows a downward trend. Based on YTD, it fell to 4.19 percent, and YoY fell 3.12 percent.

The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) also decreased by 2.16 percent, from 106.69 in September to 104.38 in October.

In rural areas there was a deflation of 0.23 percent. Deflation only occurred in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group. There are seven expenditure groups that experienced inflation, namely the Health group; the Housing, Water, Electricity and Other Fuel groups; Equipment, Equipment and Household Routine Maintenance group; Transportation group; Personal Care and Other Services group; Clothing and Footwear; and the Food and Beverage/Restaurant Provision group. While in the Information, Communication and Financial Services spending group; Recreation, Sports and Culture; and Education tends to stagnate.
