Village Potential Update (Podes) 2020

In planning and evaluating development, the government requires the availability of regional-based statistical data and information. In this regard, up to now Podes' data collection is the only regional data base with the most complete content and scope. However, the rapid development that places village level areas as the subject of development demands the need for more renewable spatial data. Where these needs have only been available in the 3 year period.

In this kind of scope the urgency of Updating Village Development Data (Updating Podes) 2020 is carried out. Urgently needing Podes data that is updated every year, then BPS conducts Updating Podes data which is carried out every year outside the Podes data year. The updating has been carried out since 2019 and was carried out again in 2020. This activity is called the Updating Village Development Data 2020 (Updating Podes 2020). Updated Data Podes include basic services, infrastructure conditions, accessibility / transportation; and some other data used for the purposes of the preparation of Regions in Numbers (DDA), Village Indexes, and so on.

To get quality Podes data, we need qualified staff as well.

Therefore, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, BPS in the Sangihe Regency continued to carry out the Staff Briefing for Data Collection Updating Village Development Data (Podes) which was carried out on June 9, 2020 through the Zoom Application.
